Ski Resort Vacation Destination Spotlight: Steamboat

This year, we are finally took the plunge and are booking a ski vacation outside of Canada and heading to the Colorado Rockies. We were looking for something that would be all encompassing. A resort that had an airport close by, a village at the base, epic trails and power, and an iconic to town just around the corner. Well, it was easy enough to land on a destination, and that destination is: Steamboat!

Located in northwest Colorado, Steamboat Resort is about 3-4 hours by car from the Denver airport, or only 45 minutes from the Hayden Airport. We were able to use our Air Canada Aeroplan Points to book our flights right to the Hayden Airport with a connection in Chicago. This honestly makes things easy when we get onsite, and we pre-booked our shuttles to and from the Airport.

We booked our hotel, lift tickets and shuttle directly with Steamboat making for a smooth process and a connected one. Only 1 booking and 1 payment to make!

So back to the mountain! Steamboat is known for its Champagne Powder, and even over this last weekend they have received a TON of snow. The mountain has a right history with his roots in ranching and a spirit of perseverance, Steamboat is known for producing more Olympians than other place in the US.

Don’t take it from me, Steamboat Resort’s instagram page has been nothing but eye candy these last few days. The snow they are receiving is AMAZING!

Looking forward to sharing everything I can with you all once I’m back from Colorado. Have you ever been to Steamboat Resort before? Any runs I must try or things I should check out while I’m there?

Thanks for reading!
