I won’t lie, the amount of gear and stuff we truck to the ski hill every weekend is getting out of control. We have a rubbermaid bin full of the kids stuff, a bag for the ski boots, snowboard boots completely loose, my husbands gear bag, my gear bag, 2 pais of ski, 2 snowboards and a lunchbox. I’m not kidding when I say it’s a lot.

Recently TRU-Kii reached out asking if the TRU-Kii system would be of interest to test out at the hill. The moment I saw it I was like:

The Absolute Best Family Ski Gear Mover: TRU-Kii Travel System

The idea for TRU∙Kii came from a parent, just like me, who had to trek all the way from the car to the ski lodge with little kids in tow. I’ve been there. That walk with your hands FULL of gear and your little ones saying how tired they are and they can barely carry their own water bottles while you’re literally sweating and shaking and feel like one of your little fingers are about to pop off because of loss of circulation due to the pressure of something you’re basely holding on to…. yeah we needed a new solution. All of parents needed a solution! In comes TUR-Kii.

Trekking our gear from the car to the ski lodge has never been easier!

My Honest Review and Experience with the TRU-Kii

Now, the one thing I could not get over is, I moved 2 skis, 2 snowboards, a gear for 3 people, and a our lunch box with ONE HAND! I was easily able to maneuver the TRU Kii in the snow without issue. (and with one hand!)

The TRU Kii is big. It can hold up to 4 snowboards and 4 sets of skis OR 2 snowboards and 2 sets of skis. We had our loaded up with the 2 kids skis, and our two very large snowbords (I ride a 158cm and my Husband has a 164cm board). There is a lot of room to add extra bags or gear, if i can hang, it can go on the TRU Kii!

The bag that comes with the cart just hooks onto the cart, and you can technically store the cart in your bag during the off season. The cart folds compact enough, but does take some room – so consider the size of your vehicle before purchasing (I would not use the TRU Kii with a more compact car). That said, we had no issues with with our Subaru Outback.
Unfolding and folding the cart part of the TRU Kii did take a few times to get used to, but once you get the hang of it’s it’s really rather simple to do.

My favourite part about the TRU Kii is that it stands on its own. It’s essentially ski rack on wheels! This honestly was a game changer when we were loaded it up at the beginning of the day, and packing up the car at the end of the day.

Additionally, one you park your TRU Kii outside of the lodge, just pop the bag onto your back as the bag has padded should straps so you can easily bring the bag inside the lodge while leaving the cart outside.

The self standing TRU Kii loaded up with ALL of gear.
