A weekend away with the family is always so much fun, and with the winter around the corner I know a lot of parents are thinking about a winter holiday close to home.
So I say, why not plan a family ski vacation in Quebec! I’ve put together a list of ski resorts in Quebec that have great family facilities, have in the area restaurant and dinning options, and have ski in/ski out accommodations (or very close to the chair lift accommodations.) There are a lot of amazing hills in Quebec, however this list is specific for families looking to leave their car parked for their entire family ski vacation.

Here are my top picks for a family ski vacation in Quebec

Ski Mont Tremblant

Mont Tremblant is a popular choice for a lot of families, and there is good reason. The hill boats itself as a “Four-season holiday destination and ski resort, Tremblant welcomes you with newly updated mountain facilities and a European-style pedestrian village with world-class lodging and amenities, restaurants, boutiques and things to do.”
There are lots of ski in and ski out accommodations, and if you book early, you’ll be saving up to 30% on lodging.

We love Tremblant as there are restaurant options in the village, a great après ski scene, and lots of fun things for the kids do to like the indoor water park, laser tag, and the creative art studio.

Ski Mont Blanc

In the same area of Tremblant, there is a fun hill called Mont Blanc. Mont Blanc is very family focused and has some nice options for ski in and ski out as well. “Mont Blanc is the Mont-Tremblant region’s second highest elevation, 3 peaks, 42 trails and 7 lifts. Located just 75 minutes north of Montreal in Quebec’s ski Mont Tremblant ski region, Mont Blanc ski resort has 42 trails and one of the highest verticals in eastern Canada”
You’re close to the town of Mont Tremblant, so a great place to have a nice dinner at the end of a day on the hill. And before covid, there was a great jungle gym area. (not sure if that will be running this season.)

Mont-Sainte-Anne

Located about 40 min east of Quebec City, Mont-Sainte-Anne is a destination for families. There are a lot of options for ski in and ski out accommodations, there is a family friendly après ski scene (we saw kids rocking out with the nightly entertainment at the bar when we were there in 2020), and the hill has lots of great attractions for kids. You can rent skates and enjoy an afternoon on the ice rink, or you could rent snowshoes and go for a hike. It’s another great family hill that will surely impress!

Olw’s Head

A few years ago, this resort wouldn’t have been on the list, but since it changed ownership there have been some terrific improvements at Owl’s Head. The hill is located in the heart of the Eastern townships and a perfect place to spend the night or a long weekend. There is now ski in and ski out accommodations, great restaurants, and has a very family friendly atmosphere. “Rising majestically from the western shore of Lake Memphremagog in the Eastern Townships, the Owl’s Head ski resort has the fourth-highest skiable elevation in Quebec. The ski hill offers snow sport activities for all ages and skill levels – fun for novices, experts and thrill-seekers!”

Those are some of my top picks for a family ski vacation in Quebec. I hope that i’ve inspired you to think of a family ski vacation in Quebec this winter!
