Day Out With Thomas

If you have a little boy and he’s anything like my 2 year old, Thomas the Train is an obsession that runs deep. Like has to go to sleep with his Thomas the Train toy level of obsession. It’s a big hit in our house.
This summer we are traveling to Ontario for a family wedding, and lucky for us we’ll be very close to the Uxbridge, Ontario stop of Day out with Thomas.

A day out with Thomas includes a train ride, activities, a visit with Sir Topham Hatt, interactive play area and much more.

More about the event from the site:

“All aboard!  Thomas the Tank Engine™ is chugging into a station near you for Day Out With Thomas™.  Thomas fans are invited to come spend the day with their favorite No. 1 engine.   Day Out With Thomas will make stops in more than 45 cities in the United States and Canada and is expected to welcome more than one million passengers this year.

Day Out With Thomas™ offers an opportunity for children and their families to take a 25 minute ride* with Thomas the Tank Engine™ and to meet Sir Topham Hatt™, the Controller of the Railway. Every event has a Thomas & Friends Imagination Station with Thomas-themed activities including stamps, temporary tattoos, hands-on arts and crafts, and a Thomas storytelling and video viewing area. The activities on site at Day Out With Thomas™ are for you and your children to enjoy for several hours.”

There are a few events close to Montreal this summer (none in Quebec unfortunately) that you can surely take advantage of with your little ones. Including one in Kingston in September (it’s a meet and greet), and North Conway NH in July.

We are really looking forward to our day out with Thomas and will certainly share with you what our experience was like!
